Job Description
Job Responsibilities :

Detailed study of Unit Plot plan w.r.t. equipment erection. Providing feedback to Project team for incorporation of comments in plot plan.
Study of Vendor’s equipment GA drawings and finalization of Cranage, rigging tools/ tackles etc for unloading / erection.
Detailed Study of Equipment drawing and confirm base plate details are matching with civil foundation / Structural drawings and take corrective action for any mismatch/ interface problems. If any discrepancy, raise SER for resolution.
Finalise MTO and coordinate with material engineer to issue MIN to contractor for field fabn. Allocate necessary resources for fabn and erection.
Ensure the dimensional details of the foundation’s bolts size, pitches, BCD, bolt height, grout clearance etc., with Vendor’s equipment’s GA drawing before and after casting of civil foundation with template.
Record any transit damage/ short supply as per packing list/PO after receipt of eqpts at site. Inform Lead Engineer if any shortage.
Ensure that all preparatory works/ enabling works are completed as mentioned in the rigging scheme. i.e. Ground preparation, area clearance for crane / equipment access, availability of rigging tools and tackles with valid calibration tags.
Conduct regular tool room talk with contractor rigging team and discuss in details about the risk involved and precautions to be taken while erection.
Ensure that the placement of crane, selection of rigging accessories, ground preparations are exactly as per rigging scheme. Get clearance from AM/CM/Lead engineer depends upon the weight of eqpts / complexity of rigging scheme.
Education Requirement :
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
Experience Requirement :
Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 10-12 years of experience or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 19-21 years of experience
Skills & Competencies :
Knowledge of equipment manufacturing codes and standard, checking levels/ verticality of the equipment and their tolerance limit, erection and final alignment requirements for Rotary equipment.
