Mechanical Engineer- Mining
Job Description
Ensure Engineering and Maintenance activities are undertaken in a safe and sustainable manner.
Co-ordinate all work resources for fixed plant mechanical work
Provide information, instruction, and leadership to ensure that all work is performed safely, to schedule and meets all quality requirements
Plan, organise and direct the work teams to perform operations so effective results are ensured
Leading continuous process improvement and preventative maintenance management initiatives
Develop and maintain KPIs for the Mechanical/Maintenance department
Ensure all site compliance are met
Lead and develop the maintenance department, consisting of, Technicians, Maintenance Coordinators, Planners, Apprentices and Engineers
Be responsible together with procurement, for maintenance related contracts in line with the procurement directive.
Key Requirements:
Minimum 5 years FIFO mining experience in Mechanical Engineer capacity
Industry recognized relevant certifications.
Experience in the construction/maintenance of under ground coal mining equipment.
Experience in adhering to Contract requirements, Interpreting technical diagrams, drawings, and specifications
