Job Description

This opening is for a design role for within BEC engineering section. Activities contributing to the design and development of products, solutions and systems. Includes activities linked to technical improvement of existing products and components. You will be required to work collaboratively with a cross-functional team including but not limited to Supply chain, Assembly, Systems, Programs, Manufacturing Programs, Quality, Repairs, PSE, Materials and other functional teams to achieve the desired outcome for the module.

 

Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities

·        Execute design and analysis activities for structural parts of engine programs for issue resolution, performance improvements, cost/weight reduction, Durability and producibility improvements

·        Deliver on cost, performance & weight targets under the guidance of technical experts.

·        Able to network & connect with Commodity CTHs, Cross functional teams viz. Supply Chain, Repair, MAE, CTPs and Shop technical teams to achieve the desired outcomes

·        Work collaboratively and display team-oriented behavior with proactive communication internally and externally.

·        Leverage digital tools & analyze the data insights to drive appropriate actions

 

Required Qualifications

·        PhD/MTech /MS/BTech/BE in Mechanical/Aerospace

·        3+ years of relevant experience on  Mechanical design/hardware ownership/ Finite element analysis of rotating parts preferably in aircraft engine/gas turbine domain.

·        Strong understanding of mechanical design fundamentals

·        Excellent communication and presentation skills

·        Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across teams

 

Desired Characteristics

·        Exposure to Heat transfer analysis, Lifing methodologies, Manufacturing processes will be added advantage

·        Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.

·        Ability to influence others and lead small teams. Lead initiatives of moderate to complex scope and impact.

·        Ability to deliver on the projects under minimal guidance.

·        Effective problem identification and solution skills.

·        Proven analytical and organizational ability
