Job Description
· Purpose of Position: Execute Plant Simulation Analysis and provide value added solutions to reduce cost and complexity for Global Manufacturing lines.
· Key Job Responsibilities:
· Conceptualize, Build, Simulate, Validate, Optimize & Standardize the simulation process models that optimize cost, capital investment, and system performance.
· Understand manufacturing process flows, analyze data and effectively represent in simulation model to achieve better results and value addition.
· Discrete Event Simulation using Siemens Tecnomatix Plant Simulation for new & existing Mechanical & Electronics Manufacturing Plants
· Bottleneck Analysis, Throughput Analysis, Logistics Optimization, Data Analysis, Cost benefit Analysis & Optimize Resource Utilization
· Independently execute simulation activities, coordinate with Manufacturing & Operations stake holders to develop & deliver optimal solutions for the new or existing manufacturing process.
· Continuously drive the process improvements to become highly efficient by identifying industry best practices and pursuing innovative ideas
· Contribute to the direction of corporate manufacturing PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) standards.
· Skills / Requirements:
· Must Have:
· Deep knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, layout design, material flow
· Understanding of Industrial Engineering concepts including Global Manufacturing Systems
· Experience in Discrete Event Simulation with preference of Siemens Tecnomatix Plant Simulation
· Experience in Advanced Material handling techniques & optimization, cost benefit analysis
· Experience in building Custom Libraries for repetitive simulation.
· Experience of MS office applications, programming tools like VBA Macro & SIMTALK
· Deep analytical & problem-solving ability to handle difficult problems/challenges.
· Ability to meet schedule milestones and communicate status on multiple projects in a fast-paced engineering environment.
· Should Have:
· Knowledge of other Manufacturing Simulation tools like Automod, Roboguide & Process Simulate will be an added advantage.
· Experience in Discrete Component Manufacturing & High-Tech Assembly Shop floor experience will be preferred.
· Understanding of Manufacturing Process Planner, Bill of Process (BoP), Bill of Equipments (BoE)
· Excellent research-ability considering multiple information and data sources.
· Other Skills:
· Coordination with Multi-cultural teams with excellent communication (verbal & written) and meeting facilitation skills
· Flexibility in working hours due to global business requirements.
· Ability to adapt to changes, different roles, or environments.
· Proactiveness in addressing customer challenges & value additions
· Education:
· Minimum: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Production, Automobile).
· Experience: 4-6 years in simulation
