Associate Design Engineer | Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India | Newell

The Associate Design Engineer will work on new product development (NPD) projects for both new and existing products, while working within a cross-functional team. Some travel may be required.

This position will:

Transform Industrial Design concepts into functional and manufacturable products, while following Newell’s Product Development Process

Work effectively with other disciplines including Marketing, Industrial Design, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain

Qualification:

·                     Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering with rich experience in AUTOCAD

·                     This role demands for a candidate who can work in AUTOCAD software ONLY

·                     Exposure in working on PDM platforms like Windchill, Teamcenter

·                     Min. 3 years of work experience in CAD design & detailing (2D & 3D softwares)

·                     Working knowledge in using 3D CAD platforms like CREO, SOLIDWORKS etc…

·                     Should posses good communication skills, presentation skills and using Microsoft tools

·                     Technical skills expertise in areas like BOM & configuration management, managing large assemblies, top down design & detailing of the same

·                     Candidate will undergo a tool test in AUTOCAD & based on the output we can move forward.
