We have immediate openings for Advanced Sustainability Engineers in Honeywell Sustainability Centre of Excellence in Madurai. The roles shall support to identify and calculate the environmental impact of products and processes through Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) studies resulting in the reduction of environmental burden. This person is a key team member to drive Scope 3 Emissions calculation and is responsible for collaborating with the organization to identify actions required to reduce significant impacts in supply chain across Honeywell Products. As such, the Advanced Sustainability Engineer must possess technical skills and demonstrate the business acumen.
Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
· Perform environmental lifecycle assessment (LCA) studies for Products and Processes
· Analysis of manufacturing emissions data, Engineering data pertaining to Process Design, Honeywell designed parts to develop life cycle inventories
· Interact with business functions and tools & systems for LCA / Sustainability activities involving products, bills of materials, purchased parts and suppliers
· Interpret Sustainability results with regards to their business relevance and devise actions, present findings to stakeholders
· Support Customer LCA/Sustainability enquiries
· Responsible for generating LCA reports in line with ISO 14040 and ISO 14044 standards and vaulting, management, and control of environmental foot-print data
· Support LCA/Sustainability assessments for NPI launches and lead sustainability assessments on legacy products and materials used in the business
· Integrate with and support the SBG Product Stewardship & Sustainability Compliance MOS
· Champion optimization of processes and automation proposal implementation
· Able to provide overview of the LCA status of materials used within the business
Basic Qualifications:
· Minimum 6 years of experience with lifecycle assessment modeling and sustainability tools
· Strong understanding of Product Life Cycle Stages – In-depth understanding of LCA Program
· Masters Degree in Science (e.g. Chemistry, Environmental Science or any Science Discipline) or Engineering Degree (Aerospace, Chemical, Mechanical, Metallurgy, Electrical/Electronics, Polymer Science)
· Experience in Life cycle Modelling tools such as Simapro, GABI, Open LCA, etc.
